TASK 5: FINAL REFLECTION
Compare and Contrast Essay
Congratulations young astronomers! You have read four texts relating to space and have proved your knowledge of what it would be like to actually travel and live on another planet or space colony. As your reflection of the Language Arts "Life in Space" activities, you will follow the directions and rubrics given below in order to write a compare and contrast essay.
As stated on the assignment sheet: your goal is to write an essay that compares and contrasts the setting in "All Summer in a Day" to the setting in the science fictions texts--"Weather That's Out of this World," "Space Settlements," and/or "Space Colony." Develop your essay by providing textual evidence (quotes/page numbers) from "All Summer in a Day" and at least two other space texts we read.
You will be given until the end of the week to complete the final draft of your essay. It should be typed or neatly hand-written and follow a 2-4 page requirement.
